6.65 Lakh Farmers Lost The PM Kisan Scheme Benefit Due To Failure Of E-KYC Verification


PM kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana E-KYC verification is mandatory to stay connected. The government has kept a deadline till December 15 for this work. In many states, farmers have still not got e-KYC done, due to which all the subsequent installments have been cancelled. According to the reports, PM Kisan money has not been sent to about 6.65 lakh farmers of Andhra Pradesh due to not getting e-KYC verification done. The lack of awareness among the farmers and the negligence of the officials of the Agriculture Department are being attributed behind this, due to which the farmers are still not able to update their information and are now facing the consequences.

The process of e-KYC is very easy
Explain that under the PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana, Rs 6,000 is given every year to farmers cultivating 2 hectares of land or less. This amount is transferred directly to the bank account of the farmers through DBT, which is available in three installments of two thousand rupees each. Some changes have now been made in this welfare scheme being run for the farmers from the year 2019. The government has made e-KYC and verification of land records mandatory while tightening the noose on the farmers who wrongly take advantage of the PM Kisan Yojana.

Both these processes are very easy. In the e-KYC process, you have to link your bank account with Aadhaar card. On the other hand, in the verification of land records, the documents of the farmer’s land are verified, but due to lack of awareness, many farmers have not followed both these rules, due to which they are now facing problems in getting money.

Only 32.72 lakh beneficiary farmers remained
It is being told in the media reports that about 70 lakh farmers of Andhra Pradesh are getting the benefit of the state government’s Rythu Bandhu scheme, while only 32.72 lakh farmers are getting the 12th installment of the PM Kisan scheme due to not getting e-KYC done. 2,000 has been received. Although a total of 39 lakh 38 thousand 432 farmers of the state are registered under PM Kisan Yojana, but 6.65 lakh farmers have not got e-KYC done, due to which an amount of 133 crores has to be lost.

Less than 60 percent farmers got e-KYC done
A report has revealed that less than 60 percent farmers of Andhra Pradesh have done e-KYC so far, that is, about 40 percent farmers are still left, who will have to get e-KYC verification done within 10 days till December 15, Otherwise, you can be out of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi Yojana forever.
